B2B marketing can be difficult. However with specific targeting and the right business messaging. LinkedIn marketing can lead to some very profitable leads.

The proposal was built around using LinkedIn Ads to a high level producing leads which will land new contracts for the business. With limited assets within the company, we designed several unique assets (examples below) with different business messaging and CTAs. All of these are tested and depending on results – removed and changed when appropriate.

We found that targeting was the biggest asset for these ads, focusing micro local to the business. We also used the data and remarketing to double down on interested companies and found ways to impact potential new clients.

We also look at minimum bidding rather than native LinkedIn Targeted options. From experience, we have found we can deliver a much better CPA doing it this way and we have the time to monitor and tweak when necessary.

Track The Website User Experience and Actions

Digital success starts with reporting. Using the LinkedIn Insights tag and Google Analytics to appropriately identify the converting traffic.

Understanding your delivered traffic is half the battle in digital marketing. By having tags for all actions across the site we monitor the different journeys users are having on Profile IT’s website. The LinkedIn insight tag and conversions set up allows us to produce remarketing audiences giving strong CTAs for none converted users and gives us the foundation of strong leads. We also tag up other actions on the site giving the business better understanding of all traffic.

The Result

By setting up Google Tag Manager we could track all aspects on the site and easily implement changes to the tracking codes. We used Google Analytic Events for actions on the site and the LinkedIn Insights Tag and Conversion for the LinkedIn Ads advertising. This gave us the foundations for all work to come.
